10th POST! YAY!:)

Helloo!!

I haven't written in a while as I didnt have much internet during last 5 days and also cause I didnt have much to write about...

But I do have something to say now..

So, there was one makeup competition on an Estonian women's website www.buduaar.ee.
The task was to do a nature themed makeup and put the picture up on their site.

When I saw this competition I thought right away - this is for me! But then I saw that the ending date was 22 March and as I didnt have time on monday (had to be in uni the whole day), I thought I have to do it on sunday morning as I also had plans on sunday and the picture had to be taken in the daylight.

I quickly did my makeup.. the theme was sunny daffodils, cause in our garden we have loads of daffodils and I think it's a perfect spring flower:) Also I love yellow colour.

I did the makeup, uploaded the pic... but then I wasn't very happy with that...:(
This is the one I uploaded to the competition..nothing special... tbh I don't even like it..:(

I thought this competition would close like just before 22nd of March, but then in uni I noticed in the morning of 22nd that it's still on. So I thought I should do new makeup on my friend and upload a better picture.

In the evening we came up with a cool idea and carefully did the makeup and I was quite happy with that result.

When we wanted to upload the picture, we noticed that the competition closed at 5 pm that day... OH NO....I was so disappointed.... But still at least I'm happy with my second result:))) and got a pretty picture:)

This is the one I wanted to upload but was too late.. I think this one is soo much better...
Also on monday spring officially started!!!:) Happy springg! (I don't think anyone even actually says that..but I like it:D )

So the season has changed... and so have makeup trends!!! And fashion trends!

Some of my favourites:

Makeup:

Purple eye-makeup..loveit!

Bright lip colour

Strong brows
 Fashion:

Lace dress... sooo cute!
STRIPES!
Platforms

OUT!! (at least for me....) :

''Flatforms''....hmm...it looks like theres a wooden brick stuck under this girl's shoe...:/

...
This was on ELLE.com... and it's called ''undone updo''.. hmm..this is TOO undone I would say.. reminds me of a wet dog.. (sorry to whoever likes this look... )

Sorry if someone likes stuff I dont like... its just my opinion so don't be offended :)

Hope you liked the post!:)

SEX AND THE CITY...

...the best tv-show ever!!! I just love it.... although I've seen all of the episodes many times..

I love everyting about it - the jokes, relationships, problems, FASHION, shoes... everything.

Today I've spent my whole day watching Sex and the City... and I just can't stop... even now I'm trying to write this post quickly so I could watch it.

So there are sooo many funny and cool quotes that I want to share with you guys some of my favourites:)

Samantha: You men have no idea what we're dealing with down there. Teeth placement, and jaw stress, and suction, and gag reflex, and all the while bobbing up and down, moaning and trying to breathe through our noses. Easy? Honey, they don't call it a job for nothin'. (haha)

Miranda : ''I'm dating skid-marks guy. When your boyfriend is so comfortable that he cannot be bothered to wipe his ass, there’s a problem.”

Carrie : “I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet.”

Carrie: “No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends.”

Samantha and Charlotte:
Charlotte: “How are you gonna swallow all those?” [referring to Samantha’s handful of pills]

Samantha: “Have we met?”

There are many more cool quotes, but these I think are my favourite:)

Samantha is definitely my favourite character there.. I think she is so funny and the best quotes are from her as well. She is so pretty and smart and confident.

My favourite Carrie's boyfriend is Aidan. He is so kind, sweet but at the same time big and strong. (At least he seems like it)

Who is your favourite character and why?:)

BEST OATMEAL PORRIDGE EVER!!

Hey guys!

Today in the morning I decided to try out oatmeal porridge cooked in a new way. It's actually nothing special, but the taste is soooo much better!!

Basically all I did differently was that I toasted the oats.

Ingredients:

*1 part Porridge oats  (I used Jordans Chunky Traditional Porridge- Jumbo Whole Rolled Oats)

*1-2 parts milk

*A pinch of salt

*1/2 tsp sugar

*A little knob of butter

1. Warm up a pan and put in the knob of butter until it melts.

2. Put in the porridge oats and toast them until golden-brown (They burn quite easily so be careful)

3. Stir in the milk ( I like to do it with more milk.. so I put about 2 parts of milk)

4. Bring to boil over a low heat

5. Mix everything constantly with a spoon until the porridge is done - I like to leave the oats a bit crunchy but overall porridge texture gooey.. Do it however you like it:)

6. And DONE!! Bon Appetit!:) You can add butter in the end or jam or whatever you like, but I think it tastes delicious just like that as well:)

Besides porridge I also had coffee and Müller Light Strawberry Cheesecake yoghurt with some extra strawberries... mmm yumm:)

So that's what I ate for breakfast today and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely start doing my porridge this way as it is definitely thousand times better than the regular ''boring'' porridge:D

Hope you'll like it as much as I did!!:)

Benefit Audition

On thursday, 11 March, I went to Benefit cosmetics audition. I was veery nervous as I had read many bad stories about it online... So I got there 15 minutes earlier and then the area manager told me to look around for 15 minutes and then come back. Okay so when I went to the counter on time, there were 3 other girls on the audition besides me. They were all very nice - one of them had already worked for Benefit, but she just wanted to change the area and had to go through the audition again, one girl was 18 years old and the other was in her 30s.

At first we were asked a couple of questions like do we use Benefit, which products etc. After that the manager talked about their company's strategy how they get their clients. As Benefit doesn't have any ads in magazines or Tv or anywhere, they get their clients by traffic stopping people all around the store and convincing them to come to the counter to do them a little makeover and introduce products. They also have their own techniques for that.

You have to say: Heyy! Have you ever had the Benefit experience? And then they can answer whether yes, no or maybe.. But for every answer you have to say - excellent! Come with me! I'll show you! You'll love it! Basically you can't ask them if they would like to come or not but you just have to tell them to come as this always works better than the asking technique (which is true..). And then as most of the people will say that they don't have time etc, then you have to try to convince them to come by saying something like ''There's always time to look beautiful!'' etc. And after second trying you can leave them alone and had to say ''Okayy. Have a nice day!''. After that we tried it on each other and the manager showed us what is a bad traffic stopping and what's good.

Then she introduced 4 products. I was the volunteer on whom she showed how to apply the products. First one was Porefessional which is a pores and fine lines minimizing creme and also a good primer. The second one was Some Kind-a Gorgeous foundation which looks oily in the packaging but is actually oil free and leaves a satin powder finish. Then the third product was Sugarbomb- a really nice 4-colour blush. And the last one was High Beam- a pink highlighter for cheekbones, nose, browbones and chin (Kylie Minogues favourite product!!). So at first we had to show all of these products on the half of the face so that people would see the difference and then do the other half quicker and ask the person if she sees herself wearing these products. In the end you have to ask ''Should I get these for you?'' and if the person says no then you just give her the catalogue, if maybe then you can give advice what you think looked the best on her and if yes thenn.... YESSS!!:D Soo after that we tried all of the makeup on eachother and then had to go and try to traffic stop strangers all over the store.

So at first it was really hard and weird to just approach all the different people you don't even know and try to convince them to come with you... ALL of them said whether they don't have time or they are on their lunchbreak or they are not interested. After first 15 minutes the other 3 girls all had found people and were doing makeup, but I was still running around looking for people to come.. I was starting to lose hope and it was so stressful that I could just see from peoples faces that they were so annoyed by me.. Also the fact that other girls all had customers and I didn't made me very nervous..

So I talked to the manager and she asked me many times if I am sure I want to do this etc. In the end she found me one customer and I did makeup on her and she bought 2 products!!! YAY! Then I started to gain more confidence and found another client- all by myself!! I was so happy! And she also bought several products!:))) And then I found a black girl who told me that she never uses makeup, because she has always thought it doesn't fit her... But she was sooo surprised if the foundation matched her skintone and that it actually reallly made her skin look better! That was the nicest feeling ever to see someone being so pleasantly surprised and happy that makeup can actually change your skin so much smoother and glowier!

So in the end I can say that all of the customers I got were very pleased with the result they saw so I am really happy about that:) But yeah I could've gotten more clients but it might have been because I was soooo nervous and under pressure.. I can honestly say that this traffic stopping really works! Although you have to get used to the whole technique how they get people to their counter... I just messed up with some words etc... but if I would get used to that I would be more confident and definitely get more clients:)

What else I like about traffic stopping is that some of these people would have never even thought something would look sooo good on them, or did not even know this kind of company existed.. And the packaging of the products is also very pink and colorful so most of the people would think that it is for teenagers mainly.. But actually these products are REALLLY good quality.. And I am not lying.. I tried these products on several people including myself and they really are great! The Porefessional hides the pores soooo well!! The foundation looks oily and heavy but when on skin it is so light and nice.. And the Sugarbomb is my favourite blush!!! High beam was also veryyy glowy and nice. So I liked to do it because I really liked the products... If I wouldn't have loved the products it would've been so weird to try something on other people that actually does not look so good..

All in all.. I would like to get this job, but I'm not that sure if I got it as I was so insecure at first... But I think in the end Idid quite good:) So we'll see... They told me they would call on monday and tell me if I was successful or not.... I'll tell you then..

Hope you enjoyed and hope that this post is helpful to some people who might do the audition in the future!:)

WOMEN'S DAY!!

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY TO ALLLL THE LOVELY LADIES AROUND THE WORLD!!!:)

They seem to be having time of their lives! So why don't you?:)
I think it is soo nice that one year a day women's day is celebrated! Every woman should just relax, celebrate or do something special this day.

By the way- unfortunately women's day is not celebrated everywhere.. For example in the UK where I am currently living they have not even heard of it:(

(You can check where it is celebrated from this link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Women%27s_Day

It is kinda sad, as I really love this day... My dad has always given me flowers this day, and friends (boys) always say ''happy women's dayy!!'', which I think is soo cute and makes us gal's feel very special :)

So in my opinion it should be celebrated EVERYWHEREE!!:)

Although I am in a country where no one knows anything about it, I am still gonna celebrate it with my friend Noora from Finland (my flatmate) and Kirsty (from Wales, my coursemate).

Our plans are:

* To go to an exercise class (legs, bums and tums)
* Do some groupwork assignments (not the fun part of the day)
*Go drinks and snacks shopping
*Slowwlyyy get ready for the evening
*Eat lil' snacks before going out (I was thinking a slice of chocolate cake..mmmmm... but Noora is on a REAL diet!!... I can neverever do that unfortunately :( ..)
*Go for predrinks to an Australian pub
*Go to a club and have an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!

I don't know if it really was anything that special but still... it's something.. I'm not sitting at home:D (which is not actually bad either)

So now I'll put down a couple of suggestions what to do on women's day whether you want to stay in or hang out with your friends etc.. Something for everyone!:)

If you are planning to stay in by yourself:

* Take a nice, hot, bubbly bath and a glass of champagne or wine or maybe a cuppa hot chocolate and just relax and read a magazine/watch some tv show or a movie from a laptop etc. (don't forget the candles!!)

*Talking about tv shows..... 90210 NEW EPISODE IS COMING OUT TODAY!!!!!! IM SOOOO EXCITED! It is totalllyyy my favourite tv show... So if you are a fan then I think this is a MUST tomorrow! I am definitely gonna watch it! It just makes my day every tuesday!

* Do your manicure and pedicure after the bath or shower and just pamper yourself by putting on a facial mask etc.

* Forget about your diet for just one day (but still do not eat something too fatty like a burger or chips!:D) and try out a new recipe and after that just enjoy it watching a movie.

For example for a main course- http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/salad-recipes/candied-bacon-green-salad (this is absolutely delicious, I've tried it!!) If you do not have some ingredients or you do not want to buy them, then just adjust this recipe as it is suitable for you.

Dessert - http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chocolate-recipes/bloomin-brilliant-brownies (Watching all these recipes I litterally just ran to my drawer and took a piece of chocolate..... I just couldn't... wish I could eat all the cakes in the world!!!)
Or a bit lighter dessert - http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fruit-recipes/summer-berries-with-orange-vanilla-m

If you are planning to stay in with your friends:

* Do a pyjama party!!:D Get some snacks, movies, drinks and just hang out with ya gal's!!! It's always fun to gossip as well (though I know it is rude but still... we're girls.. we love it.. don't blame us..)

*ONLINE QUIZZES! For example this one is soo cool - http://www.cosmopolitan.com/quizzes-games/online-quiz/sex-in-the-city-quotes-quiz?click=cos_new

*Tell different scary or funny stories to each other

If you are planning to go out:

*Go to eat to a nice restaurant

*Go to drink to a pub/club

*Go for a nice long walk and enjoy the nature:))

*ETC.. Loads of options but I am not gonna put them all down here...just be creative!:)

AND while doing all of this JUST ENJOY THE DAY AND BE HAPPY! Don't let anything ruin your day! Anything - even the cold weather (which I know my friends in Estonia have to tolerate..), the messy hair, a bad boyfriend, a bad experience with someone/something, upcoming assignment deadlines (!)... ANYTHING! Just forget everything bad and negative this day!

I would like to say Happyyy Women's Day to allll of my gorgeous and cute friends back home in Estonia!!!!!

And also to everyone- HAVE AN ABSOLUTELY LOVELY DAY!!!

I hope you got some ideas from my blog for today, although they are not that special.. But that is just what I would really enjoy!:) There are loads of other things to do as well I am sure but I just wrote the first ones that came to my mind:)

Trip to Portsmouth - for Benefit Audition.. or not...

Hey!

So this is the post I was supposed to write yesterday, but instead of coming home and writing it I went to a pub and after that to sleep.. sorryy.. But here it is.

I went to Portsmouth because I was supposed to have a Benefit cosmetics job audition there, but when I got there the lady told me that she had been told that no one is supposed to come there today so they are not prepaired. She could not do an audition with me this day and she was veryvery sorry. I was kinda disappointed, but she gave me some free Benefit products which I LOVEE!! So that was very sweet of her and I'm not mad at Benefit or anything. They did tell me to come back next week, so I am still kinda excited about that:)

But so I was there at 1 o'clock.. and decided not to go back to Bournemouth right away as that would've been a waste of train tickets. Luckily I had searched some places I want to visit in Portsmouth. Actually there was only one:D It was Gunwharf Quays at Portsmouth Harbour. It is a shopping centre with many designer outlets and cool restaurants and cafes with a sea view. I wanted to go there because of one designer cosmetics outlet which sold MAC, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Clinique and other cosmetics for a discounted price. It was reallly cool! I bought only one product though as I could not decide what else I want. I bought Clinique blended face powder - 03 transparency shade. And of course I love it! It cost 15 pounds... and the usual price is 20 pounds.. Which I think is quite good discount for an original and brand new product.

Then I just walked around the shopping centre, went to some other shops as well, bought a hugee mug:D And went to eat to an Italian restaurant with a sea view... It was very nice and sunny day... so I just enjoyed it:)

Around 5 pm I thought I should head back and took the train back to Bournemouth. But I didn't want to go home so I went to Wetherspoon with my friend Noora and then we went home around 11.

When I am drunk I tend to do idiotic stuff sometimes.. And this time as well.. Again I ruined something,, But yeah I won't get into details. Drinking is... dangerous:D For your health and relationships.. hate it... But still I will not quit:D

So all in all.. I recomment everyone to visit Portsmouth! It is a very lovely seaside town with nice old town and gorgeous harbour!

So that's all from me today.. I'll go and think what to write next now..

Hope you enjoyed!

BEST HANGOVER CURE!

Helloo!

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days.. I have been very busy. So actually this post was supposed to be written on thursday when I was suffering from quite a bad hangover... Soo I wanted to share with you my hangover cure methods!

And the best hangeover cure iiiiss......(drums).... FOOOD!!!

You must be disappointed with this answer I guess..

But yeah it really is!! Although not just regular food...but the greasiest, fattiest food you can get.

For me the best is English breakfast! Fried eggs, fried bacon/ham, fried toast and baked beans( which are missing from my this time meal, because I just didn't have them..)

And the second thing you can do for your hangover is to drink loadds of water!!

Also, for me Coke ALWAYS helps!! Cold Coke with ice and a slice of lime or lemon...mmmm... perfect..

And finally of course- painkillers!! Nothing beats a headache better than good ol' ibuprofen or other type of painkiller you like (i like ibuprofen:)).

Before I used to think that lying in my bed helps.. but actually if you just get up and do something then it will get better sooner.. Well and also it always helps if you just sleep until the night, so that you just sleep through your hangover haha:D Though I can never really do that....

Also some interesting hangover facts:
*The show Brainiac did an experiment on different hangover cures, and the greasy breakfast was the best!! (told yaa:D)

*Red wine gives the drinker the most headaches and causes nausea because it has high levels of congeners and toxic chemicals compared to other drinks.

*In fact all the ''dark'' drinks give you a worse hangover!

*Smoking can often cause worsened hangovers.

* In Mongolia, a traditional hangover cure is to eat a pickled sheep's eye in a glass of tomato juice (yuckk:S). A simpler Puerto Rican alternative is to rub lemon under your arms.

Soo I hope you don't really have that bad of a hangover that you need to cure it... but if you do then I hope these little ''tricks'' will help you as much as they've helped me!:)

Too Faced - Glamour To Go, do your makeup like a PRO!

Too Faced - Glamour To Go 3 is definitely one of my alll time favourites!!! So I decided to dedicate my very first ''real'' blog post to this particular product.

This palette contains of 8 eye shadows: golden-yellowish colour, peachy-silver, pink, grey-brown-purpley, black, golden-brown, silver, purple - and all of them are shimmery colours like you can see below.

4 lip glosses: barbie-baby pink, shimmery nude, burgundy pink, pinky-nude. 1 peachy-pink blush.

Pros:

*It has SOOO many different gorgeous eyeshadow shades, 4 different cute lip glosses and an adorable pink blush.

*It is suitable for EVERYONE and for EVERY OCCASION. You can combine all of the colours so well and do whether a pretty nude look for the day or dramatic eye for the night!!!

* All the colours in this palette are very very beautiful! Usually when you buy a palette, then there is SOME colours that you do not really use or like... But here, every single colour I love and I use all the time!

*The blush is just sooo cute pink and gives you the nicest cheeks!

*This palette lasts FOREVER! Like seriously, I bought it a year ago and I use it EVERY SINGLE MORNING and I still have half of it left!!! This is just amazing!

*It is totally worth the money - although it is a bit more expensive than the normal drugstore palettes, I can tell you from the bottom of my heart- it is sooo worth it and to be honest I would even pay more!! As it has so many eye shadows, lip glosses and a blush... and they also last very long... Ahh I just have no words to describe how mush I LOOVEEE this product!

*Basically if you put only this palette to your handbag, then you are sorted for the whole day or night! You can use black eyeshadow as a liner as well!

Cons:

* Actually there are no cons!! Maybe the only thing that would make this palette perfect for me would be the concealer. If it would have a couple of shades of a concealer maybe instead of two lip glosses then it would be the best product ever invented! Although it is not hard for me to carry my little concealer with me as well:)

So my personal rating for this product is 10/10!!!

I also did makeup to my friend Kathleen with this palette (pictures below). I used the pink, peachy-silver, purple and the black colour for the eyes.

Hope you enjoyed and comment below if you want me to make some eye makeup tutorials with this palette!!:)

“The beginning is the most important part of the work.”

Hello everyone!

My name is Jane, I'm currently 19 years old, come from Estonia and right now live in Bournemouth, UK. I study Communication and Media in Bournemouth University and I'm not sure if I actually enjoy this course yet... But it's only my first year so let's hope it gets better..:) Although I AM sure that I looovee alll the girly stuff like reading fashion magazines, MAKEUP!!,  reading different beauty tips online, reading other girly blogs, yummy smelling things, shoes, clothes, cooking etcetc.. I could just write a whole novel about things I like hehe:D So I hope if You'll read my blog you'll get to know me better eventually:)

The purpose of this blog:
* To share all my tips I've found online or wherever and have tried on myself
* To say my opinion about different stuff like makeup, new trends, food etc.. (basically about whatever)
* Definitely to review some of my favourite and maybe not-so-favourite products
* Finally - To write about EVERYTHING interesting that comes to my mind and that I think would be interesting for others to read:)

The heading of this blog:
So why did I choose this particular quote to be the heading of my blog?? (''I'm very definitely a woman and I enjoy it.'' - Marilyn Monroe - just in case I decide to change it in the future)

* Because as I already told you I LOOVVEEEE alll the girly stuff...
* So from that I can definitely tell you that I am a woman and I love it!! I love everything about it! Though yes I know it's so muchhh easier for men just to jump out of bed , brush their teeth, put clothes on and they are ready to leave the house ( although I like men who take care of them a little bit more... like use perfume and use moisturisers and style their hair... not too gay though:D), but I really enjoy doing all these procedures in the morning like putting on my moisturiser, washing my hair every day (yes I do it every single day), choosing eyeshadow color for the day, choosing what clothes to wear etcetc...
*Basically what I want to say is that I love doing all of these ''annoying'' steps every single morning.. and I enjoy to read new tips and tricks online to make all of these morning procedures even easier and more effective.
*About the heading then finally- I want every woman to enjoy their lives and try to make their lives easier by sharing with you ALL the very useful information I have found previously and tried out on myself.

I hope you get my point, though it might have been quite a messy description.. sorry about that:D

Soo I'll try to write at least one post every day but I don't want to promise anything....

Hope you'll enjoy my blog!!:)

Jane xx
